“Listen to the mustn'ts, child. Listen to the don'ts. Listen to the shouldn'ts, the impossibles, the won'ts. Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me... Anything can happen, child. Anything can be.” - Shel Silverstein

Munchkin Mania - Fall Vacation

Well I sent the kids back to school today! It was actually a pretty good week. Joel went to NC for vacation and had a blast, and the other kids behaved wonderfully and enjoyed their time home from school. As always, I went shopping on "Black" Friday, took the gang with me and had a great time! I love being able to spoil the kids and not spend a fortune.

The highlights: Gabbie got her new bike, and the little boys got a GeoTrax train set. Gab is thrilled to have a "shiny, pretty, girl bike"  and she picked it herself so I knew she loved it. She rode all over on Sunday and is taking "careful care" of it! LOL

Ben and Sam LOVE the train set. We got a small set with a push train for Scooter and a big set with a remote controlled train for Benji. They combine their tracks together to make one big track and play for hours rearranging the course over and over! They already want more tracks and buildings for their little railway town...

As nice as this week has been I'm glad to get back to my routine...Catch up on my laundry and of course knock out a project or two! LOL

Coming soon: Look for pictures of the kids vacation in the sidebar!

Off The Hook - Circle Jacket

I have to say I love this pattern! It's not boring even though the rounds keep getting longer and works up pretty quickly. The three different row patterns keep you on your toes and by time you get tired of it (if ever) you'll be binding off for the armholes which changes it up for several rounds. Here's my WIP picture so far so good! Doncha love it when your WIP looks like it's supposed to?? LOL

On a side note, I HATE plastic crochet hooks! They're not all bad, I bought a white plastic size "k" hook and it works like a dream. However the clear colored "crystal" hooks...ugh! They drag through the yarn so bad your hands vibrate! It was so annoying, I put this project down until I found an aluminum hook.
